Mother’s Day

Every day is a perfect day to celebrate motherhood and ultimately the Mother power within us who is so capable of looking after every aspect of our being. Many centuries ago already Lao Tse spoke beautifully about the “feminine power of the valley” which is the Mother of all; Ibn Arabi, a Sufi saint of the highest order, referred to the feminine inner power as well and called Her the Other as well as being the essence of himself; and Joachimo de la Fiore called the present times as the “age of the Mother” when inner truth will be revealed. The process of large scale Self - Reealization has enabled all of us to finally actualize the connection with the Kundalini and through her with our Pure Self and the collective consciousness.

This was of course the extraordinary gift of a perfect motherly Teacher – captured in the name of “Shri Mataji” which literally means “Most respected (great) Mother”. Countless people have been touched by that perfect motherhood and its loving, soothing, protecting and nourishing power of completely selfless pure Love. Even fleeting encounters carried that fragrance of Love for many years afterwards. And the guidance and advice dispensed were always wrapped in the warmth of concern and affection for each and every person.

This is also how our own Kundalini operates as well. She looks after all the chakras in need of healing and nourishment and after our subtle system is in better balance and health, she then establishes the connection with the all-pervading power and our Spirit/ Self. And the stream of pure energy that starts flowing through our system then cascades towards the periphery of our being and eventually touches every corner of our body, emotions, cognition, relational self, etc, etc. It Is a beautiful and extremely delicate process and in the beginning it can take some time. As we grow and our chakras get stronger, the Kundalini rises wider and wider as well as higher and higher. In doing so we also develop and manifest more and more our motherly side: affectionate, patient, tolerant, sweet – qualities for which all the leading spiritual figures of the world have been famous for thousands of years. And the kind of reciprocating relationships that we become part of are the most rewarding and joyful thing anyone can have in life !
