The centre point

There is a symmetry point in our subtle system, half-way between left and right as well as between the first and seventh chakra. It is our “centre heart” as it is called in the Sahaja Yoga system (according to which we also have a “left” and “right” heart, as is the case with most chakras). This centre gives us the essential power of protection: against small scale bodily attacks through our immune system; against psychological threats through feelings of security and being looked after; and against gross aggression through courage and fearlessness.

It is easy to see how in today's world keeping this centre in good shape has become so obviously critical. There is an abundance of micro and macro-aggression going on everywhere in every possible way. What’s more, we live in a society that has for millennia manipulated guilt, insecurity and fear as means of gaining and retaining power over people and / or gaining significant financial advantage. Those are heavy loads on our centre heart and also add to the other pressures on it. Best is to get rid of all that and live free in a righteous and loving way by spontaneous adherence to ideal values and permanent enjoyment of their attainment and sharing. This becomes possible after Self Realization and establishing our inner connection to the evolutionary path. One of the consequences of this new state is betterment of everything that concerns our centre heart: our immunity, our sense of security as well as our courage to take the right action when time comes.

Like our Kundalini energy, our centre heart also has a Motherly essence, but expresses different aspects of it. Because of that, its good functioning also depends on the strength of our first chakra which manifests the essence of innocence and eternal childhood. After all, the child is firstly and lastly in the protection of the mother, which flows continuously at all levels and is something we practically take for granted most of the time. That flow of protection and security becomes orders of magnitude greater once our subtle system allows for a steady upward movement of our Kundalini and we start deepening our meditation state. It thus enables us to take on life’s challenges without fear or anger or resentment and fully enjoy our smaller as well as greater victories.
